Report of our Family Day 2024

Cheerful Family Day 2024: A Day full of the sense of connection

Last Saturday, June 29, 2024, our annual Family Day took place in the historic Motopp office building at ‘s-Gravenhekje in Amsterdam. From 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM, we welcomed trainees, employees and their families for an afternoon full of fun and togetherness.

The ground floor of our building was transformed into an atmospheric meeting place. There was something for everyone: from tasty snacks to fun activities for both children and adults. Our employees served lahmacun, a delicious Turkish dish, in both a vegetarian and a meat version. The self-service bar offered a range of drinks, such as mint water, soft drinks and alcoholic beverages, while the open space with mighty old beams was equipped with sofas, armchairs and tables, which created a cozy and comfortable atmosphere.

The activities provided a lot of fun and entertainment. There was a table tennis table that was eagerly used, and artists in white suits from ‘Mad Science’ entertaining the children with funny chemistry experiments. YoungEngineers helped the children with technical LEGO creations, and there was the opportunity to decorate cupcakes, guess the number of sweets in a jar for a nice prize, and do crafts. Adults enjoyed a competitive game of table football.

With an attendance of around 75 people, the atmosphere was very cozy, or ‘gezellig’ as we say in Dutch. Motoppers and their families had the opportunity to get to know each other better, while enjoying good food or doing something together. A professional photographer captured the beautiful portraits and moments. It was a day where our diverse community came closer together and new friendships were made between young and old.
